Voted ‘European Yacht of the Year’ in 2011 for the ‘family cruiser’ category, the Sun Odyssey 409 is a fantastic, modern, comfortable and stylish sailing yacht. Designers of the 409 have not thought about comfort exclusively, though there is plenty of that, as this yacht is also a very good yacht under sail.

Down below the 409 has a three cabin, two bathroom layout as you would expect, with a lovely main cabin forward with its own ensuite. The second bathroom has a separate toilet and shower area, and is accessed by the rear of the saloon. The saloon and galley are spacious, perfect for accommodating up to six people around the dinette, while the galley is ‘L’ shaped and comes with an oven a stovetop burners.

Up on deck there’s a lot of space for up to six people to lounge in comfort. There’s a side folding cockpit table, twin helms and a transom seat that
folds down while at anchor to become a substantial swimming platform. The 409 is a fantastic yacht for sailors and cruisers alike, with plenty of style, comfort, and sailing innovations to keep everyone happy.

This yacht is ideal for up to six people sharing three cabins. If on a skippered charter, this yacht is the perfect size for four people plus a skipper, where the skipper has one cabin and four of you share the two remaining cabins.
